BLOG POST #4: OREO CHALLENGE

Using an oreo, depict something you learned in the past school year!

MY OWN CREATION:

I decided to depict a vocabulary term I learned in the past school year, catapult. I thought it would be fun to find a way to use the oreo to design a catapult. I used the oreo as the object launched and I used jewels to show the path the oreo took. By drawing the catapult and showing the oreo being launched, I was able to depict both definitions we learned for the word catapult. The catapult itself is a noun and it is a slingshot while the path of the oreo shows the verb definition, to launch.

MY FAVORITE PEER CREATION:

This creation was made by my classmate Tegan. This was my favorite peer creation because I likes how she used the oreo to depict a quote and main idea presented in the book we just read, 1984. She was able to show that the proles had more hope than everyone else by using jewels. In addition, she showed everyone else sort of broken and without hope by breaking the orea and leaving it plain. Overall, it was a super creative way to use the oreo and I think she depicted the message in a powerful way.
